What will you be doing at Miniclip?

  • Informing and advising the business and our personnel of our GDPR obligations, including helping ensure new initiatives implement privacy by design and default;
  • Monitoring our compliance with the GDPR, including overseeing our governance structure, continuing our training and awareness programs, and conducting internal audits;
  • Aiding with the completion of DPIAs, and the updating of our RoPA;
  • Supporting negotiations of DPAs and data sharing agreements with new partners and vendors;
  • Where applicable, working and cooperating with supervisory authorities and serving as their main point of contact in case of any complaints;
  • Working closely with our customer support and technical teams on responding to and actioning data subject rights (including the rights to erasure and access);
  • Continuing to review, test and finesse our policies and procedures for data protection related issues;
  • Working with our Cyber Security Team to assist with any security incidents and the implementation of our Security Incident Response Plan;
  • Keeping up-to-date with GDPR guidance and relevant legal decisions that may impact our processing of personal data; and
  • Providing a bi-annual risk report, or as otherwise reasonably required, for our executive data governance function.
  • You will also be expected to keep abreast of data protection developments in other key regions where Miniclip operates and make necessary recommendations regarding compliance.  

What are we looking for?

  • Have qualified as a solicitor in a top tier private practice law firm, with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE
  • Have knowledge and understanding of data protection laws
  • Display superlative drafting skills
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work on own initiative
  • Be able to juggle conflicting demands and effectively prioritise
  • Be discreet and able to deal with confidential and/or sensitive issues and information
  • Relish the opportunity to take on a management role
  • Have an interest in the mobile and gaming industry and keen to learn more about it
