What will you be doing at Miniclip?
Technical Leadership
Lead the development of essential web tooling for the Miniclip Group including internal dashboards, LiveOps systems , advertising and analytics platforms, and User Acquisition tools, that support Miniclip’s entire game portfolio
Occasionally contribute directly to our codebases, in situations where these contributions accelerate the team’s work (e.g.: developing re-usable, enabling faster team execution and improving efficiency)
Providing technical and architectural guidance on day-to-day development
Ensuring that the engineering best practices (such as code quality, scalability, maintainability, observability) are reflected in the software developed by the team
People Leadership
Lead a team of Individual Contributors and Managers, in the development of critical Miniclip’s Group Technology tools and Web Properties
Delivering on all aspects of people management responsibilities, including regular 1:1´s, continuous feedback, goal setting, performance evaluations, mentoring, career planning aligned to individual goals, fostering a supportive continuous learning, growth-oriented work environment.
Collaboration and Strategy
Defining the team’s short, mid and long term roadmap, considering each member’s responsibilities, aligning with the different Product Managers
Contributing to the broader strategy of Group Platform Engineering, alongside, Server, SDK and Quality Engineering teams
Working closely with game studios and other functional stakeholders to understand needs, align priorities, and remove challenges by providing solutions
Driving cross functional collaboration and helping break down silos in cross team functions
What are we looking for?
You should have the following skills:
Passion for building teams, mentoring talent, and delivering business impact through technology
Proven experience in technical leadership and line management
Strong background in modern Web technologies (for example, Vue, node.js, TypeScript/javascript, Golang, and others related to the field)
Familiarity with analytics platforms and observability systems (for example, Google Analytics or Matomo, Datadog or Grafana)
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins pipelines or Github Actions
Moderate understanding of Source Code management systems, such as git
Experience with Cloud Platforms, such as AWS or similar
Ability to design scalable cloud native solutions
A drive to iterate and improve technical solutions in complex systems
Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
The following skills are desirable but not essential:
Professional experience in the gaming industry
Exposure to LiveOps tooling, Platform Engineering and Continuous Delivery systems
